THERMODIRECT CARDS / THERMO DIRECT LABELS / are a combination of a carrier pad for the label, the front material of the label and the adhesive layer, the front material of the labels is made of different types of paper. The production of thermodirect paper for thermodirect labels is based on uncoated paper, which is transformed into thermodirect by applying an additional chemical coating. There are 2 types of thermal direct labels. Thermal Top and Thermal Eco. The difference between the two types of label paper is their resistance to thermal changes. Labels made of Thermal Top paper have significantly larger amplitudes at which the label does not change, they are suitable even for sub-zero temperatures. The first chemical layer, the lower layer, prevents the spread of heat generated by the thermal head on the paper. This provides better resolution when printing at low power.
The second chemical layer, the thermal layer, contains a dye and a developer. When exposed to a temperature of 250 C, the thermal substrate on the label melts, bringing the dye to contact with the developer and forming a thermal image on the label. The bond between the two chemicals in the thermal layer is quite fragile and can be broken by contact with grease, plasticizers or water, thus fading the printed image on the label. Additional coatings are added to protect the thermal layer of this type of label.

Thermal Eco
Features:
Thermodirect paper with high sensitivity, without protective coating. The cartons and labels made of this paper have limited resistance to scratching and smearing and low resistance to contact with plasticizers, grease and water.
Label printing speed: up to 300 mm / sec
Application of labels:
Suitable for information boards in a dry, non-aggressive environment with low humidity. Used for cartons / labels / for electronic scales in supermarkets and other retail applications where cartons have a short life

Thermal Top
Features:
Thermodirect paper with standard sensitivity, with a protective coating on both sides of the thermal layer. The cartons / labels / made of this paper have very good resistance to scratches and smudges, as well as to plasticizers, grease and water. It has good protection against chemical and mechanical influences, high humidity and low temperatures.
Label printing speed: up to 200 mm / sec
Application of labels:
Suitable for cardboards / labels / with universal application, product cardboarding with requirements for good image resistance to the environment, in areas such as the food industry (labels for frozen products), labels for retail, labels for transport and logistics.
The cartons / labels / of this paper are suitable for pre-printing with all methods, including flexo (with water-based inks, alcohol-based and UV inks), letterpress and offset.
