Wax thermal transfer strips are the most widely used type of strip. They are economical, suitable for printing at high speeds and guarantee good print quality, but not very good resistance to smudges and scratches.
They are suitable for printing on various types of thermal transfer papers. They are most commonly used by flat-head printers. Wax thermal tapes can print very well on non-glossy papers that have low smoothness, as well as on semi-gloss and glossy papers. Wax thermal tapes are characterized by operation at a lower temperature of the printer head, which prolongs its life.
